Spotify recently announced that they will be expanding their services as they officially prepare to launch their services in Korea! Spotify is a music streaming service that first launched from Sweden back in 2008. Within a decade, it grew to become one of the top streaming sites in the world with over 20 billion users.
With the recent boom of K-Pop on a global scale, Spotify has set its eyes on the birthplace of it all – Korea. They announced their official plans to enter the Korean market but have not yet revealed specific plans. They are reportedly preparing to launch within 2020.
To celebrate the upcoming launch, Spotify’s list of the top K-Pop artists with the most listers was revealed. The artists were categorized into tiers with a ranking of following users who listen to their songs on a regular basis.

5th Tier – 500,000 to 1 million listeners per month
Oh My Girl, Lovelyz, Cosmic Girls, and other artists
4th Tier – 1 to 2 million listeners per month
ITZY, MOMOLAND, GFRIEND, iKON, NCT, Stray Kids, CLC, Everglow, LOONA
3rd Tier – 2 to 4 million listeners per month
MONSTA X, MAMAMOO, GOT7, SEVENTEEN
2nd Tier – 3 to 5 million listeners per month
EXO, TWICE, Red Velvet, (G)I-DLE
1st Tier – 10 to 20 million listeners per month
