“Squid Game” Creator Spoils The Plot Of Season 3
Squid Game 2 was officially released on Netflix on December 26. The new season has already created anticipation for a third installment.
Building on the plot of season 1, season 2 has introduced new characters, deadlier games, and an expanded storyline. Audience reactions so far have been favorable, with many wondering what a follow-up season of the show might look like.
In a previous interview with KBS, Squid Game’s creator, Hwang Dong Hyuk, had mentioned planning for another season, even though it was still at an unconfirmed possibility stage. But in a more recent interview, Hwang confirmed that viewers can look forward to season 3 soon!
Hwang talked to AP News before the release of Squid Game 2 and shared the news. He also spoiled a little bit of the plot, teasing audiences further. According to the interview, the third season will see a time jump and an even more intense story.
Season 3 of Squid Game will be set in 10 to 20 years in the future. It will be darker and sadder, but at the same time, it’ll also be quite humorous.

According to AP News, the third season was already developed along with season 2 and is currently in the post-production stage. It is expected to be released in the first half of 2025.
