Squid Game 2 has sparked fury before airing after a prestigious award nomination.
The show is set to air later in the month, with a whole list of new characters and a new storyline.
While anticipation is high, the show sparked backlash when the Golden Globes announced that the series was nominated for the “Best Drama” series.

While it may be surprising and confusing for a show to be nominated without airing, to qualify for nominations, entries must be released within the calendar year and submitted to the awards committee by 14 November. The whole Squid Game 2 series is going to be released on December 26, thus fell into the criteria.
