“Squid Game”‘s Jung Ho Yeon Won A Cash Prize But She Shared Half Of It With A Surprising Girl Group Member
Squid Game‘s Jung Ho Yeon has climbed to a level of success like no other following her appearance in the Netflix mega-hit series. While she has been in the entertainment industry for many years as a model, the actress is now relishing in her newfound success. In light of her recent surge in popularity, the talented model-turned-actress recently appeared on Hangout With Yoo.
During her appearance on the show, the model and actress won a cash prize of ₩1.00 million KRW (about $850 USD) after correctly answering some quiz questions.
That’s not small pocket change, so it would make sense if Jung Ho Yeon decided to keep her cash prize to herself. However, it was revealed that the Squid Game actress gave half of her prize to the one and only Girl’s Day‘s Hyeri!
The girl group member showed off her cash gift from Jung Ho Yeon on her Instagram account. With a photo of a clear envelope with the Hangout With Yoo logo stamped on the front, Hyeri tagged Jung Ho Yeon’s Instagram account and captioned the photo:
Ho Yeon came and cooly gave me an allowance. How is it that you even speak well.

If y’all are wondering how the two talented ladies know one another, it’s because Hyeri previously acted alongside Jung Ho Yeon’s boyfriend, actor Lee Dong Hwi in Reply 1988. It’s been speculated that two outgoing actresses met through Lee Dong Hwi and have started a beautiful friendship ever since.
Aw, what an adorable and thoughtful gift! We love celebrity friendships, and this one may be a new favorite.
