“Child Abuse” — Alleged Filming Staff Exposes “I-LAND 2” For Mistreating The Contestants
I-LAND was a successful survival reality show that helped choose the debut members for ENHYPEN. After the success of both ENHYPEN and I-LAND, a second season was announced for broadcast in 2024.
The second season is already in the midst of filming. On March 9, 2024, an exposé by the staff went viral. They accused the PD (production director) of mistreating the contestants. Many of the contestants are minors, but they only received around two hours of sleep each and were scolded by the PD. The set was also unfit for filming with bad heating and dust.
I went to the filming set for I-LAND 2 yesterday and how the PD treated the contestants, who are minors, was so ridiculous.
The contestants got only around 2 hours of sleep at the most, but were made to film from early hours of the morning. But when they showed a little but of tiredness in the middle, the PD just gave them a hard time for “not being earnest at all.”
After all that? Just how earnest was the PD himself at work? F*ck. He ordered a 9 hour delay for the filming and made the staff get off work in the wee hours of the morning. Is he insane? Is your brain structured like maze runner?
What’s more is that they even stuck a sign on the wall to instruct staff not to mistreat the contestants. If how you treat them is like that when the sign is up, just how bad was it when the sign wasn’t there?
How is it possible that the contestants were so mindful of the PD that they had to gather a few of themselves just to say they wanted to go to the toilet? It’s scarier that they weren’t even instructed to do that, but they just did it themselves [based on the atmosphere].
The heating wasn’t working properly so the main stage was freezing too. They made the contestants wear such skimpy clothing that they were all shivering from the cold.
There was also a ton of dust on the set. I thought we were filming Dune 3 or something. In the midst of that, they made the contestants dance and sing so much, saying that we had to film shots of them practicing. I feel like if the contestants went back to the dorm and dug their noses, their snot would be black. Mine were.
I hope that channels that don’t have the ability to produce something, just all disappear. Please. Who cares about the damn NDA. I hope cancer Mnet just gets crushed up like little sesame seeds and buried as rubbish.

I-LAND 2 is set to produce a girl group through the show. Mnet has yet to speak up on the accusations.
