Steve Yoo Wins Supreme Court Decision
Steve Yoo was once Korea’s biggest star.
Steve Yoo (aka Yoo Seung Jun) has reportedly won his case in Korea’s supreme court.
On November 30, Korean news outlets reported Korea’s Supreme Court’s decision to disallow the rejection of his visa. The decision follows a years-long trial in which the singer sued the Korean Consul in Los Angeles for rejecting his visa application.
Steve Yoo was once Korea’s biggest solo act in the late 90s. The singer’s career came to an abrupt halt when Steve Yoo, who faced enlistment, tricked the military into letting him leave the country, where he then obtained American citizenship.
The singer would then face an informal exile from the country and hasn’t been allowed in since leaving in 2002.
