Stray Kids’ Bang Chan Is Finding New Ways To Show Off His Bromance With Ryan Reynolds
2021 has seen many iconic interactions between K-Pop stars and Western celebrities, like the recent collaboration between BTS and Megan Thee Stallion. However, one K-Pop/Western actor friendship has captivated many since the group first acknowledged each other.
After Stray Kids‘ Deadpool-inspired performance of BLACKPINK‘s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” on Kingdom: Legendary War, the group, caught the attention of Deadpool himself; Ryan Reynolds.
From then on, Ryan quickly became a Stay and began an international friendship with the group’s leader, Bang Chan.
The pair have sent each other personalized gifts, including autographed gin and a signed album, as a token of their newfound bond.
It’s been a bit since the pair have interacted, but Bang Chan proved that his love and respect for Ryan Reynolds is never too far from his mind.
When the whole group was asked by the American version of The Masked Singer what they would choose as their mask for the show, Bang Chan gave a special shout-out to his pal.
Say if I were to participate in the show, I would maybe dress up as Deadpool.
-Bang Chan
The rest of Stray Kids offered a knowing laugh. No other member saw reason to answer the question after such a slick response.
In the past, Bang Chan was wearing a Deadpool mask, and Ryan Reynolds has promised to send him an official mask as a gift, so maybe this dream isn’t as far-fetched as it may seem.
Let’s get him a real mask.
