Netizens Find Stray Kids’ New Logo “Oddly” Familiar

Do you see the resemblance?

On June 18, Stray Kids released the first teaser for their upcoming new album ATE.

Already, there has been some push back over the album, with fans expressing their discontent at Stray Kids‘ song with Charlie Puth seemingly being included in the album’s tracklist. Fans came to this conclusion after the teaser images for the “Accordion” version of the album were released, appearing to be the same concept from “Lose My Breath.”

The group’s album scheduler was also hit with plagiarism accusations after netizens pointed out a strong resemblance to the scheduler released by NCT DREAM for “ISTJ.”

Now, some have found the group’s newest logo to be suspiciously familiar to another iconic logo.

Usually, for K-Pop comebacks, a group will take on a new design scheme to match the new release. For example, for Stray Kids’ ROCK-STAR album, the album’s logo had more of an edgy look, matching the concept.

The logo for ATE was revealed to look like the logos of some heavy metal bands, featuring a sloping jagged font.

However, the logo was also found to resemble something completely unexpected.

Many online across different fandoms are familiar with the fanworks platform, Archive Of Our Own (AO3), and it’s logo, which features the three letters in a bright red.

One netizens couldn’t help but point out that Stray Kids’ main logo for ATE, the one featured as the header on the group’s profile, heavily reminded them of AO3’s when placed against a white background.

Other fans couldn’t help but agree, finding humor in the situation.
