Stray Kids Merchandise Gets Pulled For “Political Reasons”
A company deleted a post relating to the release of Stray Kids merchandise, citing “political reasons.”
The company in question is Photoism, a self-photo service well-known among K-Pop fans for its official collaborations with idols.
On March 6, Photoism posted a teaser for a new collaboration on its official Korean social media accounts.

Later on, the new collaboration was revealed to be Stray Kids.

However, while the official social media accounts for Photoism’s brand new studio in Taichung reposted the teaser, it was later deleted on Instagram.
Instead of an official unveiling, Photoism posted the following announcement.
“Announcement
Regarding the photo frame collaboration with Stray Kids, due to political reasons, we are currently working hard to coordinate with their agency.
We do our best to fight for every collaboration.”
– Photoism
Following the announcement, fans expressed their confusion, especially since other JYP Entertainment artists’ photo frames are available.
- “What do you mean political issues???????”
- “Life4cuts has TWICE frames, so what issues could Stray Kids have? And political ones to boot. I don’t get it.”
- “Why didn’t you post after confirming everything first!@#$%^&*”
- “How come there aren’t any political issues with ITZY and NMIXX, then?”
Currently, the Photoism Taichung store has not commented further on the matter.
