Sulli’s Brother Fuels More Speculations About The Late Idol And Actor Kim Soo Hyun

Was Sulli‘s appearance in the K-Movie Real a troubled one? The late idol’s older brother hinted so in his latest Instagram update—following his two previous posts that also seemed to take jabs at the disgraced co-star Kim Soo Hyun.

In the latest update, Sulli’s brother Choi Geon Hee wrote, “My life, your life, all of our lives are ‘Real.'” By putting Real in quotation marks, the brother is presumed to be nudging at Sulli’s appearance in the movie of the same name.

Real was controversial when it premiered in 2017. Dispatch wrote, “Female actresses are only utilized for scenes involving sex, drugs, and casinos.” Sulli, whose nude scene was leaked as soon as the movie premiered, received unreasonable backlash for the role.
In 2025, after the tragic loss of actress Kim Sae Ron led to some chilling revelations about her relationship with Kim Soo Hyun and his GOLD MEDALIST agency, the movie resurfaced, stringing along some burning suspicions of it having been a “family scheme.”
While Sulli’s brother has not provided additional context to the post, his followers were quick to conclude that there might have been struggles before, during, and after the production of Real for Sulli—especially with him responding to the comments.
Comment 1: Stop being an attention wh*re and spill the tea about Real.
Choi Geon Hee: Stop hiding behind a burner account and I’ll tell you.
Comment 2: You should expose whatever it is you want to expose. Or tell Garosero. What you’re doing right now is just playing games. Stop it.
Choi Geon Hee: I’m not doing this to expose anything though?
Choi Geon Hee: What happened, happened—even though people rooted for [Sulli]. Something similar has happened again. And it’s not like the two incidents aren’t related at all. So… Put yourself in my shoes and think about the past six years. I don’t want to explain anymore.
