Police Confirms Sulli Has Passed Away By Suicide
The Seongnam Sujeong Police Station confirmed that Sulli has passed away by suicide. She was found dead in her home around 3:20pm KST on October 14.
At 8:45pm, Sulli’s body was taken from her home and moved to the hospital. An autopsy was not initially conducted, as they are waiting for her family’s opinion. Her family has since revealed through SM Entertainment that they wish to keep everything about Sulli’s death and funeral private.
The investigations being conducted at Sulli’s home have concluded, and arrangements for her funeral are being prepared now that the incident report is completed.
A police official stated that Sulli had been suffering from severe depression, although no details have been confirmed by Sulli’s family and/or SM Entertainment.
SM Entertainment had released a statement about Sulli’s passing, explaining that they “cannot believe the situation” as they are now grieving for their loss. They asked the press and netizens to refrain from spreading rumors and to respect Sulli’s family during the saddening times.
