Super Junior’s Kang In To Open Dear. U Bubble, Netizens Fiercely Disapprove
Former Super Junior’s Kang In will finally be making a return to the industry. He has been inactive for around 8 years, although he only officially left the group in 2019.
He voluntarily departed, penning a letter to fans on Instagram. It came following multiple controversies. In 2017, he was accused of assaulting his girlfriend at a bar, and he faced charges for two different drunk driving instances, hit-and-runs in 2009 and 2016.
He has been testing the waters since 2023, creating a YouTube channel to share his camping escapades with fans. The channel has around 14,000 subscribers.
On May 27, 2024, it was announced that Kang In will be opening his Dear. U Bubble subscription. As a paid subscription service for fans, this can be considered his first proper step back into the industry. Fans will be able to purchase subscriptions from May 28, 2024, onwards.
Regarding the news, netizens have expressed their disapproval, being unable to let go of his past mistakes.
- Are they targeting the trifle sums from international fans? Why are they opening it? LOL. Will it even be profitable?
- I’m surprised he’s still with SM Entertainment. Seems like they don’t cut you loose even if you have controversies.
- What’s with SM Entertainment?
- What?
- That’s not…
- SM… Get it together please.
- The way they’re coddling a criminal LOL.
- Seems like they’re opening Bubble for criminals too?
Many still feel that he should not be let back into the industry as a public figure thanks to his multiple infractions.
