Super Junior’s Leeteuk Undergoes Emergency Surgery, Cancels All Schedules
Super Junior‘s Leeteuk will not be able to participate in any of his scheduled activities this week, including “SMTOWN LIVE 2018 IN OSAKA” concert, after undergoing surgery at 5AM on July 24th, 2018 for acute cholecystitis.
Acute cholecystitis is an inflammation of the gallbladder that causes a tremendous amount of stomach pain and nausea.
Super Junior’s managing agency Label SJ confirmed, “Leeteuk had horrible stomach pains this morning.”
“He was taken to the hospital where the doctors diagnosed him with acute cholecystitis. He needed immediate care, so he went into surgery right away.”

According to the agency, Leeteuk’s surgery went fine and he is now recovering.
“The doctors made it clear he must rest to recover from the surgery. We also put our artists’ health care as our top priority, so we have decided to take him out of all the planned activities for the following week. This includes the “SMTOWN LIVE 2018 IN OSAKA” held July 28th through 30th.”

The label asked Leeteuk’s fans to be understanding of what has happened.
“We hope you understand. We will make sure to give Leeteuk all the care and attention so that he can recover as quickly and as fully as possible.”
