Super Junior Yesung’s Past Message Resurfaces Amid Senior Artists Calling Out SM Entertainment

SM Entertainment has been at the center of controversy since the announcement of the SMTOWN concert.
In particular, many older-generation idols have been voicing their frustration at the company for its lack in effort.
Just recently, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Red Velvet’s Wendy have slammed the company for being late in announcing their absence from the show.
An online community board garnered attention as it discussed the frustration among the senior artists. In particular, Super Junior Yesung‘s Bubble message from December resurfaced online.

Also, I’ve been seeing some questions regarding SMTOWN. As it is an event at a company that I’ve been in for over 20 years, I do try my best to participate. However, I was not able to participate much in the album. I’m also tired of talking about the cold treatment, especially when it comes to the group song. I am going to be focusing more on my concert, so I’m just letting you know.

TVXQ Changmin‘s response to a fan also recently garnered much attention.

Fan: SM merchandise! Oppa is so handsome that I will buy 1988218 of them!
Changmin: If I really sold that much I wonder how the company’s treatment of me would change.
Seeing this, fans wondered what was going on at SM.

Is SM going to fail after celebrating its 30th anniversary?
- “But really, how is this company being run?”
- “There’s like a billion artists saying they weren’t taken care of, and yet the concert is over five hours long. Then who is performing at this concert?”
