SuperM Reveals They’ve Become More Like Brothers After Filming For “Mtopia”
Group SuperM held an online press conference for their new reality series Mtopia and gave more insight to the show and their thoughts on it.
SuperM is a project group created by SM Entertainment that includes SHINee’s Taemin, EXO’s Baekhyun and Kai, NCT 127’s Taeyong and Mark, and WayV’s Ten and Lucas. Their debut album topped the Billboard 200 chart, proving their global power and influence.
In terms of the show, Baekhyun stated, “Most group reality shows already have the members close with one another, but our show reveals how we all naturally became close with one other throughout the show.”
This show is different because SuperM is made up of four different SM groups coming together as one. This allows for more opportunities to get to know each other better and become a family.
Taeyong revealed, “I actually liked being made fun of by the members because we had gotten much more comfortable with each other.”
The producer of the show also hoped that fans would enjoy getting to see the new types of chemistry among the members too. “Stay tuned for new relationships with these members from different groups coming together as a new group.”
While the members were sad that they weren’t able to perform in front of fans due to the pandemic, they hoped that they would be able to meet everyone soon.
Taemin added, “I always took going overseas for granted and we took this time to be thankful for what we are able to do.”
This program was created by SM C&C and Wavve and will air two episodes every Wednesday at 11 AM KST for five weeks.
