Suzy Donates 50 Million Won To Kids In Need
Suzy has donated ₩50,000,000 KRW (~$42,000 USD) to the charity organization Sharing of the Fool, as reported by the spokesperson for the organization.
The donation is intended for the campaign Dream Embedded Star, which targets low-income and disadvantaged youth. The organization claims that Suzy was heartbroken at the struggles the kids were facing amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and wanted to support them as they chase their dreams.
Each recipient will receive up to ₩2,000,000 KRW (~$1,700 USD) to be used to further their studies.
Suzy has donated to this particular organization every year since 2018. In 2018, she gave ₩20,000,000 KRW (~$17,000 USD) for unwed mothers and their children, and last year she contributed another ₩20,000,000 KRW for women in tough economic situations.
This news comes at the wake of her charity to a different cause just last month, when she donated ₩100,000,000 KRW (~$84,000 USD) to victims of floods. Suzy, like her good friend IU, has proven time and time again that she has a heart of gold.
