Former NCT‘s Taeil has made his first social media update since his sex scandal was revealed.
On August 28, SM Entertainment shared that Taeil would be removed from NCT due to an unspecified sex crime.

We have recently confirmed that Taeil has been implicated in a criminal case related to sex crime.
While looking into the situation, we recognized that the issue is very serious, and we have decided that Taeil could no longer continue team activities. We have discussed this matter with Taeil and it has been decided he will be removed from the group.
Currently, Taeil is faithfully cooperating with the police investigation. We will share additional statements as the investigation progresses.

Since then, additional case details have been revealed as fans and the members reacted to the news. According to SM, the company was unaware of the investigation until mid-August.
SM Entertainment First Learned Of Former NCT Member Taeil’s Sex Crime Scandal In Mid-August
Following the announcement, Taeil’s social media accounts were inactive, even as the NCT members unfollowed him. On September 4, Taeil’s first update came in the form of him setting his Instagram account to private.
The number of accounts Taeil follows has also changed, dropping from just over 50 to 42. The former member of NCT has also lost over 1.1 million followers in the time since the scandal was made public.
