Former T-ARA Areum’s Now-Deleted Instagram Rage Rant Hints At Fallout With Current Boyfriend
Former T-ARA Areum‘s now-deleted Instagram update has hinted at issues in her current relationship.
On June 3, 2024, Dispatch revealed that allegations claiming Areum abused her child had been forwarded to prosecutors. According to the Gyeonggi-do Gwangmyung Police Department, Areum is facing charges of child abuse, neglect of a child, and drugging a minor. Areum’s mother is also facing the latter charge.
Previously, Areum had alerted police that her ex-husband had abused her child, which was cleared by police.
The star and her ex-husband tied the knot in 2019, having two children before their divorce was reported in December 2024. Areum has since given birth to her third child, fathered by her current boyfriend and announced a new pregnancy.
On December 3, Areum shared rants on her Instagram account, believed to be directed at her current boyfriend and reflecting on her ongoing legal issues, while seemingly accusing him of emotional abuse.
I have nothing more to lose because you’re the reason I was not able to see my children when I wanted to. Do whatever you think you can. It drives me crazy that I’m carrying yet another child of yours, and I’m so terribly sorry to the baby. But what can I do? The baby is a living being. Whenever I tried to get some rest because of morning sickness, you turned it into an issue. That’s the type of person you are. At this point, I feel so guilty toward the children. So try your hardest. I’m going to do everything I can in my power to destroy you. Not that I think you have anything left to lose. But I don’t. I don’t have anything to fear, and I don’t have anything to stop me. So bring it on.

The star also shared an update to her Instagram story before deleting her account.
“Is there really a fearless person out there who doesn’t understand how serious perjury is?
And it’s not even about something trivial—it’s about a child.
Someone who has a child himself goes around saying things like I hit his kid just because he feels like it.
But he has no idea how grave the situation is.
Because of him, my poor children are now labeled as victims of child abuse.
The case is over, too.
How dare he?
And now he’s saying just one word from him, and he can turn things around,
trying to commit perjury again—it’s truly incredible.
I don’t believe in the law or justice anymore.
The system is inherently unfair, swayed by the words of people like you.
But you… You should know, shouldn’t you?
You really aren’t afraid of anything.
Even though I’m wronged, I can still live my life as it goes.
But you—how do you expect to face the consequences of your actions after death, living so shamelessly?
I’m genuinely curious.
I see no reason to argue anymore. It’s just ridiculous—completely absurd.

According to a report by OSEN, when questioned if this was directed at her ex-husband, Areum denied this.
