T-ARA’s Jiyeon Updates Fans After Heartbreaking Sighting Of Her Crying
On October 5, 2024 (KST), Korean news outlets confirmed in reports that T-ARA‘s Jiyeon and baseball star Hwang Jae Gyun have filed for divorce. The official update came after the couple dodged and/or denied the divorce speculation for months.
Then, a few days after the news, Jiyeon was spotted in Macao at the fanmeeting held to celebrate T-ARA’s 15th debut anniversary. The event marked the idol’s first public appearance since the announcement of her divorce—so when she got emotional and burst into tears at the end of the event, she made headlines for her emotional response.

But Jiyeon’s fans are feeling reassured with her latest Instagram update.
In a post of gratitude for the fanmeeting and the 15 years together, Jiyeon shared pictures of herself smiling and seeming unaffected by the buzz surrounding her high-profile divorce.

As Jiyeon commented through her divorce attorney, it seems the idol is indeed striving to “bring better news” for her fans.

This is not the only change Jiyeon’s Instagram saw as of late. She has recently wiped the slate clean and removed traces of her now-ex husband from her social media platforms, following his statement about the divorce.
