IST Entertainment Exposes THE BOYZ New Agency’s Alleged Lies Over Trademark Rights
Amid the controversy, member New posted a message to Bubble for fans.
“The B’s, you all must’ve been shocked and worried. Thank you for trying to protect THE BOYZ. I saw The B’s statement, and I am writing this message to prevent the misunderstanding from getting worse. One Hundred is not trying to extort our trademark rights. Currently, we have not received the trademarks for free from IST Entertainment.
I am not trying to take a side; I am just trying to tell the truth to the fans and prevent the situation from getting worse. I came here late at night because I didn’t want any more misunderstandings and hoped the dispute between the two agencies would be resolved.
Although we are still in the negotiation process, it has not been resolved yet. The group and One Hundred are putting in the effort to resolve the issue with IST Entertainment so please don’t worry and wait a bit.”

However, Korean netizens were divided in their response to his message.
- “He just came to calm down worried fans after reading the fan statement and didn’t want the situation to worsen.”
- “I don’t know why this is a problem and why he is being criticized.”
- “If they were negotiating, the new agency should not have started media play. Are they throwing them away for free? Why are the playing the media like that.”
- “Use a different name then. They respected them and paid whatever they needed to pay, and members finished the time left on their contracts, too, and yet…”
- “They are giving the members the right to use the trademark for free and not the company. They even let you finish the contract early, yet you side with the new company.”
- “THE BOYZ finished their contract, so it is not tampering. They completed the contract like normal.”
- “I’m just a third-person looking in on the matter, but isn’t he just posting that because of the statement? I think he wants everything to be resolved well.”
- “I’m disliking this group more…”
Meanwhile, the group’s new agency was called out for using media play.
