Soloist Lee Chaeyeon has gone viral in Korea due to a shocking fan-taken image of her.

Chaeyeon recently made her comeback with the single “Don’t” from her third mini album SHOWDOWN and has been attending various promotional events for it. On July 10, the singer held a mini-meeting while filming for MBC M’s Show Champion and greeted fans enthusiastically.

As usual for any K-Pop event, fansites released multiple pictures of the idol taken at the fanmeeting. But one particular picture caught the attention of netizens, and not for good reasons. A netizen posted Chaeyeon’s picture on Instiz, pointing out that her face looked completely different from usual. The OP (original poster) also wondered if it was the result of over-editing.

In the photo, Chaeyeon’s face looked drastically different than her other photos from the same event, confirming the assumption that it was the particular fansite’s editing that made her facial features appear strange.

 

Netizens were left baffled by the bad editing, calling out the fansite for overdoing it.
