Tickets for EXO’s first university stage sells for over 10 times its original face value
Every year, one of South Korea’s top universities Yonsei University, holds a music festival for its students featuring some of today’s hottest artists.
When it was announced that EXO would be headlining the festival, tickets for the event were posted on various internet forums selling up to ten times its original face value. News reports indicated that the 11,000 Won ($10~ USD) tickets were posted selling for 150,000 Won ($138~ USD), almost thirteen times the original price.
In addition to their superstar status in the K-pop industry, this was EXO’s first university festival performance which drove prices up even more. The group performed their hit track “Call Me Baby” as well as three other tracks.
With this announcement, many concerns about the safety of students and the traffic surrounding the area were raised to the school.
Other artists performing at the festival include Park Jin-Young, Ga In, Jessi, EXID and many more.
The Yonsei University festival took place on May 15th.
