Tiffany Young Shares Her Allyship With The LGBTQ+ Community And Expresses Her Unending Support
Girls’ Generation‘s Tiffany Young recently appeared on JTBC‘s Newsroom where she discussed her allyship with the LGBTQ+ community.
The Girls’ Generation member has been busy with her musical, Chicago and it was this topic that sparked a conversation about the Korean LGBTQ+ community. The host of JTBC’s Newsroom told Tiffany Young that she had seen the supportive message that the Girls’ Generation member shared for the LGBTQ+ community. To this, Tiffany Young shared this response,
As someone in their 30’s, I realized that I now have to work hard to relay what I want to say and the stories I want to share. I have been focusing on that as I work.

Adding onto her statement, Tiffany Young continued by sharing that she is thrilled her group’s debut track, “Into The New World” is being used as the LGBTQ community’s campaign song.
‘Into The New World’ is currently being used for something new and great. I wanted to closely support them too.

However, the singer shared that while she supports the community now, it was hard for her to speak up on her support in the beginning.
I was only able to boldly speak up after seeing the bravery of my friends first. I want people to be able to see my video message of support and think ‘huh, maybe I should rethink it.’ I think being able to start that kind of conversation is important.

Tiffany Young concluded her LGBTQ+ related interview segment by sharing her desires to support the community to the end.
I want to be able to support and encourage the LGBTQ+ community closely, even in the future.
