While not everyone knows the origins of this rumor, it appears to have originated in 2019 when it was reported that former Sechs Kies member Kang Sunghoon allegedly posted malicious comments about other celebrities, including Rain. Although Rain is famous and especially known as the idol of many idols, Kang Sunghoon allegedly called out Rain’s “stinking breath” in a post dated 2015.
Rain, that bastard has stinking breath! He was famous among singers. Everyone who used the mic that bastard used after him fainted. How terrible it must’ve been…
— Allegedly Kang Sunghoon
The other comments about Rain appear to have been made out of jealousy of Rain and Kim Tae Hee‘s relationship, as she was popular among men.
Rain, that idiot is so ugly. I’m disappointed in Kim Tae Hee.
Kim Tae Hee, break up with Rain!! You don’t look good together and Rain used to be a backup dancer?
— Allegedly Kang Sunghoon
Now, an influencer is revealing how Rain really smells.
Social media personality and TikToker Amy Flamy (@amyflamy1 on TikTok) shocked her followers when she uploaded a video dancing with Rain to Megan Thee Stallion‘s hit song “Mamushi (feat. Yuki Chiba).”
@amyflamy1 How to avoid the sun? Rain✨ @RAIN #fyp #dancechallenge #kpop #kdrama #koreandrama
The video went viral, with 6M views at the time of writing, and many fans of Rain were excited. Yet, a handful of comments asked Amy if Rain smelled bad.
Amy has now shared a new video addressing these comments.
Amy was so shocked by such comments, wondering if they were serious. She explained how she collaborated with him. The entire time, he smelled “divine,” including minty breath. She said he smelled so good that it made her self-conscious about how she smelled.
