…others like Starlight Boys have been criticized for its treatment of the trainees appearing.

Time Turner already had an interesting premise, as it was said to be based only on global fan votes and be broadcast on TikTok.

Time Turner plans to search for a new generation of global entertainers. On November 8, the first episode aired and held its first elimination.

From the jump, viewers found issues with the program, starting with the short “Signal Song” released before the show even aired.

Next, many were surprised by the number of contestants who did not sing for their first, with only 12 out of the 18 only dancing. This did not sit right with some as the show’s goal is to debut a K-Pop group that will have to also sing.

Next, the show’s “low-budget” look did not provide the feeling of it being an actual survival show. This was due in part to the appearance of TikTok Live gifts on screen during performances, another point of contention.

In addition to regular voting, the votes that will have the most weight are said to be from the TikTok Live gifts, which viewers pay for using real money.

Speaking of voting, many were surprised that instead of an actual website, votes were submitted through the free to use Google Forms.

These issues combined have left an overall unimpressed feeling amongst watchers.
