The reason for her silence was revealed when Lily informed fans on August 31 through Bubble, a fan communication platform, that she was on vocal rest. She shared that her voice was in poor condition, adding, “My voice is in very bad condition… I’m sad.”
In true Lily fashion, she also attached a popular meme to her messages: a picture of Charli XCX holding up a sign that read, “I’m on vocal rest.”

The NMIXX star was so ill and unable to use her voice that she couldn’t even sing during the group’s encore win performance on Inkigayo. This only fueled the fans’ concerns further.

Since the performance, Lily and the rest of NMIXX had a fancall event scheduled yesterday, one that Lily went ahead with despite not being able to speak. As a result, a video of Lily looking extremely emotional and tired has gone viral and triggered strong reactions from fans.
