On July 4, Gabriel Moses, the music video director for Travis Scott‘s “FE!N,” made accusations of plagiarism towards BLACKPINK Lisa’s “Rockstar,” citing strong similarities. Since then, he has been subjected to intense harassment online as many await an official response from Lisa’s company.

After the initial allegations, many fans came to Lisa’s defense, stating that the concept he claimed was plagiarized had already been done in other works.

This would be a valid defense, as music videos have often paid homage to other works, meaning this could be a case of that happening. However, Moses dropped another claim that has not added a different layer to the allegations.

In a tweet made on July 5, Moses quoted another X user who talked about the “Travis Scott influence” that Lisa’s MV allegedly show.

In his quote, Moses alleged that Lisa’s team reached out to his video editor to work on “Rockstar” and that “FE!N” was used as a reference. He says that the editor said no, but that Lisa’s team continued anyways.

They reached out to my editor to work on this btw & Fein was the reference. He said nah & they did it anyway. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Lisa’s team has yet to address the allegations as of writing.
