TREASURE’s Hyunsuk Inspired A New Tik Tok Dance Challenge Without Even Knowing About It
Recently, a video of TREASURE‘s Hyunsuk has been blowing up on the social media app Tik Tok, going as far as to inspire a challenge with almost 1,000 participants over the span of a few days. The strange thing about this? He didn’t even upload it!
It all started on August 7 when Hyunsuk posted a video of himself doing a short cover ofΒ G-Dragon‘s “R.O.D” on Twitter.

Not long after that, a Teume decided to repost the video of Hyunsuk onto Tik Tok with the song “This Could Be Us” by Rae Sremmurd edited over the original audio. Then, they added “HYUNSUK DANCE TREND” as the sound name and asked people to remake their own version in the comments with the hashtag #hyunsuktrend.

Seemingly overnight, hundreds of people all around the world starting trying it themselves with some pretty successful results. As the dance itself is considerably short and not too difficult to learn, it makes sense that so many fans have already joined in on the fun!

Despite the fact that none of the TREASURE members have touched Tik Tok in eight months, Hyunsuk was still able to find out about the challenge’s popularity directly from Teumes on Weverse.Β Soon after it started gaining traction, a few fans posted screenshots of the “HYUNSUK DANCE TREND” page hoping he would see it.
And crazily enough, he actually responded to a few of their messages! Hyunsuk was not only surprised, but also extremely grateful that his fans came together and made so many videos just for him.
