A member from TREASURE is quickly gaining new fans!

On November 29, the first day of the 2022 MAMA Awards was held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan. Several well-known K-Pop artists graced the venue including YG Entertainment‘s newest boy group.

Though TREASURE was still set to perform the next day, they were invited as nominees of the “Worldwide Fan’s Choice” award which they ended up taking home.

It was when they were called on stage that a certain member became the center of attention. Japanese member Yoshi was focused on giving a thank you speech to fans…

…but as brief as his screen time was, it had the unintentional effect of reeling in non-fans as well! TREASURE Makers were all too happy to introduce him to the public.

Korean viewers also joined the crowd of people asking, “Who is he?”

Yoshi stood out not only for his smooth Japanese speech but also for his endearing smile and handsome visuals. At one point, a single video of him waving directly at the camera garnered over 11,000 likes in less than five hours.

Viewers also found his candid actions towards JYP Entertainment boy group Stray Kids sweet, seeing him congratulate them sincerely on their win.

Of course, moments when he simply stood still became noteworthy as well.

Yoshi (2000) is a 22-year old rapper who was born in Kobe, Japan. He is known for having a sweet and caring personality and for being skilled at composing, writing lyrics, and rapping.

And while he can stop traffic when he’s styled in a cool way, he can also do the same in more casual looks as well.

He recently released a unit song with fellow rap-line members Haruto and Hyunsuk entitled “VolKno.”
