The accusations were quickly shut down by their companies, who denied that the two were lovers. In the midst of it all, TWICE‘s Nayeon and TREASURE‘s Asahi were dragged into the rumors. A now-deleted post on X claimed that Asahi and Nayeon had been present too at the bar. They claimed that Asahi and Winter were the ones dating, attaching a photo of him grabbing a taxi and of his alleged couple ring with Winter.
