TripleS’s Choreographer Slammed For Now-Deleted Instagram Story Regarding Their Dancing

“You should at least put in some effort.”

With a group that has as many members as tripleS — 24 to be exact — there’s bound to be some members that are stronger in some areas than others. While some of them might be better dancers but not as strong in the vocal field, the opposite is true too, and trying to get each member on the same level for performances is undoubtedly a challenging task.

No matter how challenging it is, though, you would expect the people working with tripleS’s members would keep any mishaps or difficulties to themselves, and not air it to the public. Yet that seems to be what happened with choreographer Choi Hyoje, who worked with the group for their full-member release “Girls Never Die”.

In a since-deleted Instagram story, the choreographer seems to vent about the limited abilities of some of the members. None of them are mentioned by name, but the frustration of Hyoje is evident in what he says.

Translation: I’m not asking to put your head down and do a head spin, but to dance comfortably with both feet on the ground.

I got it… I got it… You can’t do it… Okay…
Then you should at least put in some effort.
Ah.. Seriously.. I inserted all the swear words, but I deleted them all..
Please practice.

After the original story was deleted, he later shared another one with a brief comment about “protecting them”, presumably meaning the members of tripleS.

Translation: Even so I need to protect them.

Netizens are finding Hyoje’s comments extremely unprofessional. Many are wondering why he’s taking to social media to vent his frustrations, rather than talking to the tripleS members or staff of MODHAUS.

  • “But they’re 24 people, honestly there are so many kids who are more talentless and lack more star factor than some commoners I know, it’d be hard to correct them one by one since there are so many people;; I still remember Bae Yoonjung talking about how hard it was for her to teach Hyeri because her learning is so slow, imagine with 24 people and we’re probably not talking about only one or two members.”
  • “Why is he such a loser? He can’t say that to their faces so he’s here uploading cryptic stories.”
  • “Why doesn’t he say that to their faces..? Maybe because they don’t listen to anything he says, that’s why he posted this..”
  • “No but imagine posting this kind of content and talking about ‘protecting’.”
  • “TripleS’ planning is quite good so they should invest more in the members’ skills.. This is showing the limitations of a small company.”

What do you think of the situation?
