TripleS’s Shion Worries Fans With Her Concerningly Thin Figure

It’s no secret that many K-Pop idols follow strict and sometimes dangerous diets in order to keep their thin figures, especially female idols. While some of them are probably more naturally skinny than others, sometimes it gets to the point where they look overall unwell because of just how thin they are. For example, recently BLACKPINK‘s Rosé had fans worried with how frail she looked in a video, and she’s always been on the slim side since she debuted.

It seems to be a trend that isn’t going away, and in fact may only be getting worse, with the newest generation of idols. As with a lot of beauty “trends”, some K-Pop fans think that the model-thin figure is making a return to the industry, even more so than it already was.
Concerns of this nature have been growing for rookie idol Shion of tripleS.
The discussion stemmed from one particular photo of the young idol, who recently turned 18. In the picture, Shion’s legs are visibly thin, especially compared to some of her fellow members, who are also already on the skinny side.
What’s more is Shion claims to love food, especially bread, which is notorious for making people gain weight rather than lose it. Netizens have a hard time believing that she eats as much as she claims yet still retains what seems to be an underweight figure.
She wouldn’t be the only idol who fans suspect don’t eat as much as they claim, but it does worry some people that there’s what seems to be an illogical belief among many K-Pop fans that idols can have what seem to be “healthy” eating habits and still be this thin when in reality they likely aren’t eating enough. Of course, this is all just speculation.
