5th Generation Idol Once Rejected Casting From HYBE, SM Entertainment, And JYP Entertainment
SooMin is a 5th generation idol from tripleS. The group freshly made their debut in 2024, making waves with their huge number of members. The group houses 24 members!
On a recent episode of Come Here, she shared her casting origins. SooMin had originally received casting offers from SM Entertainment, HYBE, and JYP Entertainment. Her beauty captured the big three after she posted a photo of herself on Instagram. She decided upon going to check out SM Entertainment first.
On the way to her audition, she was stopped by a man who introduced himself as the CEO of an entertainment company. After briefly exchanging words with him, she went along for her audition at SM Entertainment. The moment she left the building, she saw the same man again. It turns out that he had waited for her to finish her audition! He explained that he was making a new group, and asked her to join them.
SooMin felt pressured as he told her to decide within two hours. If she were to say yes, he would debut her right away with tripleS. Weighing her options, SooMin reasoned that if she went to a big agency, her chances of debuting might not be high. On the other hand, if she went with the offer, she would be able to debut right away. Of course, she made the practical choice and went with her current company!
