Fact Check: Are “True Beauty” Co-Stars Moon Ga Young And ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo Reported To Be In A Relationship?
Since K-Drama True Beauty, adapted from the Naver Webtoon of the same name, premiered in December 2020, fans have loved the chemistry between the leads. Actress Moon Ga Young (also romanized as Mun Ka Young), ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo (also romanized as Cha Eun Woo), and Hwang In Yeop (also romanized as Hwang In Youp) starred as Jug Yeong, Su Ho, and Seo Jun, respectively.
As with any K-Drama with great chemistry, some fans couldn’t help but ship the actors in real life. True Beauty‘s popularity remains as fans continue to post edits.

Now, it has been circulated that Cha Eunwoo and Moon Ga Young are allegedly dating. Videos reporting the alleged news have gone viral on social media apps Instagram and TikTok. The videos below have 1.9M, 704.6K, and 457K views, respectively, at the time of writing.

Fans are naturally excited at the possibility of the actors being a couple on and off-screen. Besides, it’s not uncommon for actors to fall in love, as we have seen with Crash Landing on You couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo couple Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung, and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon couple Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young.
However, in the case of Cha Eunwoo and Moon Ga Young, it has not been confirmed that these two have had a relationship more than platonic offscreen.
All the videos above “proved” the news of the co-stars allegedly dating with false reports. Some even used fake screenshots that appeared to be Koreaboo posts on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that we posted that the True Beauty co-stars are in a relationship, although we never did. In the fake screenshot, the account’s name is in lowercase, unverified, and it’s not our formatting style. Likewise, Dispatch has not reported any such dating news either.
This is not the first time that these rumors have circulated. On April 1 (April Fool’s Day), a post on TikTok went viral with over 2M views, claiming that Dispatch had revealed that Cha Eunwoo and Moon Ga Young were dating.
