The Truth Behind WayV’s Hendery And (G)I-DLE Shuhua’s Dating Rumors Allegedly Exposed…By A Sasaeng

WayV‘s Hendery and (G)I-DLE Shuhua‘s dating rumors were allegedly disproven by an unexpected source.

On January 1, rumors of the pair’s relationship surfaced after a series of viral Weibo posts showed Shuhua and Hendery dining together at a restaurant. Four others, one male and three females, appeared alongside them.

Despite others being with them, Chinese netizens assumed that the two idols were romantically involved.

SM Entertainment nor Cube Entertainment have addressed the rumors, but they have seemingly been disproven by a sasaeng fan.

Shortly after the rumors spread, a netizen on Weibo shared a post claiming that they used their connections to ask a sasaeng what actually happened. According to the post, the sasaeng fan stated that Hendery and Shuhua were dining separately but their company — Hendery’s male manager and the female dancers Shuhua was with — knew each other.

I used my connections to ask a big fansite sasaeng. They said the story is that, the girls Shuhua was with are all SM Entertainment dancers. They were eating with Shuhua, while Hendery was eating with his manager. It just so happened that his manager and the dancers knew one another, so they started sharing a table. Sasaeng, or stalker fans, often follow and keep track of idols activities outside of schedules invasively. This instance, however, seems to have cleared the two idol’s against the allegations.
