tvN has gained attention for its seemingly “exploitative” actions when it comes to the issues surrounding actor Ryu Jun Yeol‘s relationship with Han So Hee and his break up with former girlfriend Hyeri.
Many fans have followed Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol’s relationship since their days on the hit show Reply 1988.
After their long romance, netizens were surprised when their breakup was announced in 2023. Recently, everything started to heat up again when rumors were spread that Ryu Jun Yeol was dating actress Han So Hee.

Amidst the initial news on March 16, a tweet from a Korean fan went viral as they were watching an episode of Reply 1988 on tvN, which is the show starring both Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri. In the caption, the fan wrote, “tvN channel update, isn’t it crazy?”

In the photo, it showed a rerun of episode five of the show Reply 1988 and in the corner, tvN had added a caption but used the stars’ real names rather than those of the characters.

While it is common for tvN to do things like this with the captions, many found it absolutely hilarious that the broadcasting station chose to do it amidst the huge news that was happening at the time. It was for this reason that the tweet quickly went viral, and even international netizens couldn’t hide their surprise.
