TVXQ and Super Junior top Oricon Charts with new releases
TVXQ has ranked #1 on the Oricon Albums Chart for five days with their new Japanese album WITH, while Super Junior hit #1 on the Oricon Singles Chart with their Japanese single “MAMACITA.”
TVXQ’s 14-track album WITH was released in Japan on December 17th, immediately topping the Oricon Daily Albums Chart with 162,790 copies sold on the first day. The new album includes songs such as “Sweat,” “Answer,” “Time Works Wonders,” and a Japanese version of the popular Korean track “Spellbound.” It also features “Spinning,” for which they previously released a PV and BTS footage.
TVXQ has now earned the #1 spot on the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart as well as the daily charts and are quickly setting new records in Japan with their new release. On top of this, they are currently ranked on other international charts, including Billboard‘s 2014 year-end lists in the “Japan Hot 100” and “World Album Artists” categories.
On the other hand, Super Junior’s new single “MAMACITA” topped the Oricon Singles Chart briefly on December 21st, with their first day sales at 35,624 copies.
Both TVXQ and Super Junior are returning home from their global activities, with TVXQ completing their Beijing TVXQ! Special Live Tour on December 19th and Super Junior performing their Japan Supershow 6 tour at Tokyo and Osaka on December 20th.
