Top Male Idols Go Viral For Talking About Their “Positions” In Fanfiction

The clip has gone wildly viral.

While it has constantly been debated, fan fiction has remained a permanent part of fandoms. Having existed only in physical form during the time of Star Trek, fan fiction is now readily available online for those looking.

Fanfiction is also easily found by those not looking for it, including those it is written about. Some find it entirely uncomfortable, while others actually react and give their thoughts on how they were written.

A resurfaced clip has gone viral due to the idols talking about the “positions” they were assigned.

In much fan fiction written about K-Pop idols, they are usually paired together romantically, with several topping the list of most written couples on the popular fanfiction archive Archive Of Our Own (AO3).

In writings with sexual content, writers will sometimes use stereotypical characteristics to assign idols “positions” in the bedroom between being the partner who gives penetration (top) and the one who receives (bottom).

This topic somehow came up between Kim Jaejoong and TVXQ‘s Yunho.

Before the lawsuit that led to Jaejoong leaving SM Entertainment, he was active as a member of DBSK alongside Yunho. In the resurfaced clip, Yunho brings up how he and Jaejoong had appeared in “fantasy novels” together where they were lovers.

The two surprisingly continue to discuss it, with Yunho saying that he was usually the “male role,” and Jaejoong stating that he had “become a mother.

The tweet and several discussing the video quickly gained millions of views, with many interpreting that they were talking about who “topped.”
