TVXQ’s And JYJ’s Concerts Fall On Same Day, Causing Major Backlash
TVXQ‘s 20th anniversary for their Japan debut will be coming up soon. To celebrate and thank fans, TVXQ will be hosting a tour, 20th Anniversary LIVE TOUR ~ZONE~ in Japan. They will travel across different cities in Japan from November 29 to December 15, 2024.
JYJ‘s JX unit, consisting of Jaejoong and Kim Junsu, will also be hosting a two-day concert in Tokyo.
They will perform at the Bellaluna Dome on December 14 and 15, 2024. The dates clash with the last two days of TVXQ, who will be performing in Hiroshima. What angered fans more was the setlist for JX’s concert. They would be covering many of the hit songs from their time in TVXQ, including “Balloon,” “Rising Sun,” and “Hug.”
For those who do not know the lore, the members of JYJ sued SM Entertainment, effectively leaving the group in the end. This caused a rift between fans and the members.
- Ugh.
- If you withdrew from the group, then you should give up on the songs too. They have no conscience.
- It’s so fascinating that some people don’t find it weird with how they named it “Identity” but made the setlist up of old TVXQ songs LOL. Seems like JX fans are also old-time Cassies.
- What I don’t get is that this is basically what soloists who don’t leave the group would do. As an old-time Cassie, this is so pathetic. Or just release a new album as a duo or something… Why do you have to sing old TVXQ songs as two of you?
- The setlist is crazy LOL. If you’re not TVXQ anymore, why are you singing it?
- When this was trending previously, I didn’t get it back then too. Why are they getting also nostalgic?
- Don’t they have anything to show for in terms of career after leaving? The time they spent out of TVXQ is longer than the time they spent as members. I don’t get why they have no songs to use except for old nostalgic ones… This comment hits the nail. It’s not like a withdrawn member is inging one or two songs as part of a fanmeeting, but they are performing ten or so songs in their setlist. This is so annoying.
- The fans who are insisting that they are the real TVXQ and they got their songs stolen by fakes are so pathetic too. They’re even claiming that non-fans are the ones saying that. The singers who are forever stuck in the past from 15 years ago, and the fans who follow them should stay together until death do them part.
What do you think?
