TWICE’s Jihyo Reveals How She Really Became Friends With BLACKPINK’s Lisa And (G)I-DLE’s Minnie
Even though everyone thinks idols from different groups are battling against each other, the reality couldn’t be more different.
Four idols that have always gained attention for their interactions are none other than long-time friends TWICE‘s Jihyo and Mina, and BLACKPINK‘s Lisa, and (G)I-DLE’s Minnie…
Back in June, Minnie excited fans as she posted some photos and videos on her Instagram of the four idols in what looked like an adorable photo booth, with a caption translating as “small but certain happiness.”
Just like any normal friends, the idols looked like they were having the time of their lives. In the first shots, the idols had wacky headgear and channeled their inner craziness.
Even in GIFs, the four seemed like normal besties as they had some fun taking pictures in the photo booth.
Well, it seems like TWICE’s Jihyo has finally spilled on how she became friends with the female idols.
Jihyo recently appeared in a video for GQ Korea, where she answered questions on different topics. In particular, Jihyo was asked about her iconic friendship group and how she became friends with Mina, Lisa, and Minnie.
Of course, the friendship with Mina was obvious and Jihyo couldn’t help but laugh as she explained, “Mina and I are in the same team, though?”
Of course, Lisa and Minnie were different stories, and Jihyo admitted that a lot of people were surprised about her friendship with Lisa. However, it was something that dated to the start of both idols’ careers.
Anyway, about this… I guess it’s surprising to everyone that we’re all friends. So I became friends with Lisa first. Like, way back during my early debut days.

Yet, it shouldn’t be surprising that Jihyo and Lisa are so close, considering they were both born in 1997. Yet, despite their busy schedules, Jihyo revealed that they are still very close.
We’re the same age, so naturally, we became friends really easily. Lisa and I are still good friends, and we hang out whenever we can.

As expected, with Lisa being so close to Minnie, it was only natural that Jihyo began to hang out with both idols together, and their friendship group expanded.
And Lisa is friends with Minnie, so naturally, we all started hanging out together. It all happened effortlessly…

The four idols have shown support for each other in so many ways that didn’t include selfies. At the end of 2021, netizens were shocked when it was revealed that Lisa and Minnie had attended TWICE’s concert in Seoul to support the group.
If that wasn’t enough, even though it wasn’t together, Lisa, Jihyo, and Mina (along with Sana) were all said to have attended (G) I-DLE’s recent concert. Lisa even showcased her true fangirl by having the group’s lightstick with her at all times.

Hopefully, it isn’t long before netizens can see some more crumbs between female idols from some of the biggest groups in K-Pop.
