TWICE officially became the first K-Pop group to receive an award at the annual ceremony and was the first artist to receive the “Breakthrough Artist” since Camila Cabello in 2017.

To support TWICE, ONCEs filled the theater, many of them with their “candy bongs” in hand, and drowned out the ceremony with their cheers for TWICE.

Whether seated or on stage, TWICE had the audience’s full attention, and even fellow attendees didn’t know how to react to the incredibly enthusiastic response the group was receiving.

Along with accepting their award, TWICE also performed their most recent English single, “Moonlight Sunrise.”

Their performance had fellow artists on their feet and dancing along, and ONCEs singing along to the song’s first live performance.

TWICE stunned fans with their live vocals and smooth choreography, and after the performance, “#PROUDOFJIHYO” began to trend as netizens reacted to and praised the group’s leader for overcoming technical difficulties during the performance.

As their performance started, it was evident that something was wrong with Jihyo‘s microphone when her voice was barely audible.

During the bridge of the song, Jihyo amazed fans when she took out her in-ear monitor and effectively projected her vocals enough to be picked up by other mics.

Netizens couldn’t help praising her professionalism and quick thinking, effortlessly making the best of an unfortunate situation.

TWICE had the entire audience mesmerized throughout the night. Check out the article below for more on their time at the 2023 Billboard Women In Music Awards!
