TWICE’s Jihyo Finally Reveals The K-Pop Company She Trained At Before JYP Entertainment
TWICE‘s Jihyo finally revealed the K-Pop company she trained at before spending most of her life at JYP Entertainment.
Jihyo is one of the true all-rounders in K-Pop, and has worked so hard to achieve her dream. The idol became a JYP Entertainment trainee in 2005 when she was only eight years old. She trained for ten years, which many assume is the only place Jihyo honed her skills.
However, some fans knew she trained at one more place before going to JYP Entertainment, and Jihyo finally revealed where.
On the recent episode of Hyoyeon’s show, Stray Kids‘ Changbin was a guest but the teaser for the next episode showed that Jihyo was the next guest. As soon as the teaser started, Jihyo explained that she had actually met the Girls’ Generation singer when she was a “baby.”
While Hyoyeon joked that she wouldn’t have been a baby, Jihyo explained that she was talking about it for the first time but although she trained at JYP Entertainment for ten years…
She was actually a trainee at SM Entertainment for a year.
When the video was posted, it was definitely a shock to netizens who had never heard anything about Jihyo and SM Entertainment.
Jihyo already said before she join JYPE she was a trainee in other company. But we never know that the company was SM!!!

On August 2004 Jihyo joined the 1st Junior Naver Child Acting Contest and winning the 2nd place. After that, she was scouted by JYPE and officially joined the company on July 15, 2005.
