After making her solo debut late last year, Jihyo was interviewed by Teen Vogue. They asked if she was aware that many TWICE fans refer to her as “mother,” a term that “is shorthand for boss, badass, untouchable queen,” according to Teen Vogue.

Umma? I honestly didn’t know that. I’m only finding out the meaning of it now. As you mentioned and explained it to me, I think it’s very funny. It’s funny that fans call me that and also think about me as that kind of figure.
