TWICE’s Jihyo Almost Got Into A Physical Altercation With Jeongyeon
TWICE‘s Jihyo and Jeongyeon might be close friends, but they are not afraid to fight it out the old-school style, at least according to the TWICE leader’s story.
Jihyo recently appeared as a guest on comedian Park Na Rae‘s YouTube channel, Na Rae Sik, and talked candidly about TWICE’s past, present, and future.
During the conversation, Jihyo brought up her groupmate Jeongyeon, telling Park that she would get along with her pretty well. When Park asked if Jihyo was the closest to her, she responded, “I think I talk to Jeongyeon the most,” explaining that they have known each other the longest among all the TWICE members. “I was a trainee for ten years, and Jeongyeon was a trainee for seven years,” she added, elaborating on why the two 97-liners got along so well.
But like every strong, long-lasting friendship, Jihyo and Jeongyeon’s dynamic has also strayed into the territories of unhinged fights. According to Jihyo, not only did the two have some serious fights, but it nearly amounted to a physical altercation once.
Jihyo recalled pushing Jeongyeon into a wall and punching the wall during a fight. But when Park asked her the reason behind the fight, she surprisingly answered, “I don’t remember…Because we’re so close. We fought over nothing.”
If the two TWICE members had the fighting habits of two very close friends, their way of reconciliation also screamed “besties.” Jihyo revealed that they never really try to “make up” after a fight. “Real friends don’t make up,” she stated, adding, “It’s just, ‘Hey, have you eaten?'”
Just another day of TWICE casually showing what best friend goals look like!
