Momo And Heechul’s Supporters Slam Critics, Say Age Is Just A Number
On January 1, Super Junior‘s Heechul and TWICE‘s Momo officially became the first confirmed idol couple of 2020. So far, many fans are supporting Heechul and Momo, but the couple isn’t without critics.
Momo, born on November 9, 1996, is 23 years old. Heechul, born on July 10, 1983, is 36. There’s a 13 year age gap between them, but they aren’t the first K-Pop couple to prove that age is just a number.
Even so, some people believe that the age gap between Momo and Heechul is just too wide. They feel uncomfortable about Momo dating an older idol. As this fan pointed out, however, Momo debuted at nearly 20 years old, meaning that she was a legal adult when she met Heechul.

Fans have also pointed out hypocrisy, and given examples of celebrity couples who overcame large age gaps.
All of y’all disrespecting Heechul and Momo’s relationship better have the same energy for Beyoncé & Jay Z with their 12 year age difference and Priyanka & Nick with their 11 year age difference. Because according to stan twt logic we need to throw them in prison too.

Supporters say that as long as Heechul and Momo are happy, that’s all that matters.
I’ll support Heechul and Momo no matter what. This whole age gap between them isn’t an issue. They’re both adults so what’s the problem? Whoever doesn’t support them isn’t a true fan.
