Netizens were shocked after TWICE‘s Nayeon was congratulated by her idol cousin.
On June 21, Nayeon performed at Music Bank.
Nayeon actually won and made sure to thank everyone, including staff, TWICE, and fans, for the win.
After her win, Nayeon excited fans by bringing back a classic celebration pledge as she was singing with ice in her mouth, which was exactly what TWICE had done during their “Dance the Night Away” encore.
As Nayeon was reaching for the ice, netizens noticed a young male idol personally come to congratulate her.
Netizens were shocked to realize that it was none other than EVNNE member Ji Yunseo.
Although it seemed random, netizens quickly remembered that Nayeon and Yunseo were actually cousins. Back when he was on Boys Planet, it became a huge topic, and photos of them spread across the internet.
When the video was posted, while some just couldn’t get over the family interaction, others were shocked because they didn’t actually realize that Nayeon and Yunseo were really cousins, especially as K-Pop has a running joke of saying veteran and rookie idols are related.
