ONCE Spots TWICE Reference In Marvel Comic “Silk”
ONCE noticed a subtle reference to TWICE in a recent issue of Marvel Comics‘ Silk.
Silk is the superhero alias of Korean American Cindy Moon. The character, created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos, made her debut in The Amazing Spider-Man #1 in April 2014. She has since appeared in the hit animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as portrayed by Tiffany Espensen, and will soon have her own self-titled TV series produced by Amazon Prime Video and Sony Pictures Television.
Marvel and K-Pop fan Zachary Mendoza posted a video on TikTok of the Marvel comic in question.
After flipping for a moment, Zachary landed on the panel containing the reference to TWICE. Music is playing in Cindy and Albert Moon’s home…
And the music is none other than TWICE’s “Cry For Me!”
Silk issue #3 was released on March 30, 2022. Emily Kim wrote it with Takeshi Miyazawa as penciler and In Hyuk Lee as the cover artist. So, we suspect that someone here is a ONCE too!

Especially, considering the TWICE members are Marvel fans themselves, it makes the reference even sweeter! With a Silk series on the way, can we get them to cameo?
