TWICE Sets Incredible New Records In Japan
Formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015, TWICE quickly became one of the top girl groups of all time.
This week, they’ve added yet another item to their ever-growing list of achievements that cements their place at the tip of the top.

According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (also known as RIAJ), Twice’s 2020 single “I CAN’T STOP ME” has just been certified platinum, meaning the total streams of the song have reached 100 million.
“I CAN’T STOP ME” is the group’s second song to attain this certification after 2019’s “Feel Special.” Additionally, “The Feels” achieved gold certification, and “I WANT YOU BACK,” “BETTER,” and “Perfect World” all achieved silver.
The certifications alone aren’t the only achievement here, though. Rather, with new these certifications, TWICE has now surpassed 1 billion streams in Japan! They are the first Korean girl group to do so, and only the second Korean act of all time.
Now entering their 7th year of group activities, expectations are high for even greater success, and setting such a monumental record certainly bodes well for these ladies. Congratulations to TWICE on setting such a tremendous record!
