Debate Erupts Over TWICE And Stray Kids’ Album Inclusion Discrepancies
Recently, JYP Entertainment labelmates Stray Kids and TWICE announced new albums.
Stray Kids is releasing a new album titled HOP—available in a SKZHOP VER—on December 13. The album includes a CD, Outbox, Photobook, CD Book, Photocard (random 1 of 8), Unit Photocard (random 1 of 4), Sticker, Mini Poster, Folded Poster, and Graphic Sticker. US/EU Exclusive: Postcard. The Target-exclusive versions contain an additional Photo Card (random 1 of 8).
Meanwhile, TWICE is releasing their 14th mini album, Strategy, on December 6. There appear to be three versions of the album. Its album inclusions are CD, Photo Book (88 pages), Photo Card (random 5 of 45), Folded Poster (Random 1 of 9), Ornament (random 1 of 9), Lyrics Letter, and Photo Card Set. US/EU Exclusive: Poster. Additionally, Target exclusive versions contain an additional Photo Card (random 1 of 9).
Netizens couldn’t help but notice the discrepancies between the two albums. Despite the groups being under the same company and respectively popular, TWICE had notably more inclusions, and some were more creative than just photocards.

skz: One normal pc. One unit pc. a mere sticker. mini poster. a slap in the face and 4 insults to your family tree.
twice: FIVE INDIVIDUAL PHOTOCARDS. member poster. a cute ornament since the holidays are near, very thoughtful. a pack of TEN EXTRA PHOTOCARDS. pretty theme. box. pic.twitter.com/is9qGnFeNf— 2minbinsunger (@user9221025) November 20, 2024
they had one good album design (noeasy n oddinary) and then decided to just stop doing what the consumers want

STAYs also noted that this wasn’t always the case. Stray Kids’ inclusions used to be better, but at some point, it felt like the company gave up trying. They believe it’s because JYP Entertainment thinks the fans are gullible and eager to buy anything related to Stray Kids regardless of effort.
my theory too ☹️

Still, many STAYs are frustrated over the lack of creativity toward Stray Kids’ albums. Division 1 (now known as ONE Label) oversees Stray Kids, and they have consistently failed to impress fans.
On the other hand, some think JYP Entertainment is playing favorites, as there has been discourse over which groups JYP favors most. Read more below.
