TXT‘s 2024 MAMA Awards speeches have gained attention online.

On November 21, The 2024 MAMA Awards (Mnet Asian Music Awards) began its first night of events at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. This year, the event has been stretched to three nights off events, with the second and third taking place November 22 and 23 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.

The second night saw more awards being handed out, with a larger attendance than the previous. TXT were one such group, standing out from the moment they walked the red carpet.

The group had a great night, putting on an amazing performance, and securing more than one award.

TXT’s first award won was for “Ponta Pass Global Favorite Artist,” a category that was voted on by users of the Japanese Ponta Pass app.

During their first speech, TXT thanked fans for their support, even giving a shout out to Soobin, who is currently on a health-related hiatus.

First of all, to our MOAs who gifted us such a valuable award! thank you so much! I think we gained a lot of strength thanks to MOAs this year. We made two comebacks and MOAs passionately cheered us on for both of them so I think we’ve had a happy year. To our staff members who always work hard beside us and work alongside us, we want to say thank we’re really grateful to you we love you! Also, to Yeonjun-hyung who just opened the show with a really cool intro performance and all my members, I want to tell you that I always love you so much and you’re working very hard. Soobin-hyung, are you watching? We’ll bring back the award to you! Rest well! We love you!!

Fans could feel the group’s appreciate for them through the speech, but couldn’t help but notice who it did not include. More often than not, idols will thank their company or other individuals involved in their work in their speeches, and TXT did not mention HYBE nor HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk.

The group’s second speech for “Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top Ten” also did not include a mention of either, this time thanking fans and MAMA for the award.
